Hallo

wie kann man das endrosslung im das CDI versvinden?

I bugs me, that the leo has got much more power. but is restricted by the cdi-ignition.
It got a rpm-limiter.

How do i remove that?

Hello,

there is nothing to remove - the engine power limits the speed of the Leonardo. The ignition has no additional limiter.

Greetings,

Christian

Hi Christian

The Leo 250 has a rev-limiter - i'm sure.

When i reach 155 on speedo, and the rpm is high enough, the limiter makes it "jump" in max.

It is just as a limiter on a normal mc or a car.

It was the same with the original exhaust and with the new exhaust.

And it got more power with the new exhaust. it just get's there a lot quicker.

Hello,

a original Leo 250 doesn't reach a spedd of 155 km/h - so what have you done to your Leo? ;)

The limiter in the CDI is a important function to protect your engine. You cannot remove it, because the CDI-unit is a sealed part.

You should try to change your transmission to decrease the engine's rotations.

Haha - your right! engine must be on something (speed? :D )

No, it is bug standard. It has nothing else, than a performance exhaust and a VERY bad speedometer. You haft to minus with 20, to get it right.

Top-speed would be about the 135 real km/t.

If there is nothing to do, about the limiter. i will try with a Polini variator. maby that can gear it a bit up :)) .
To change the gearing would be a bit extreme on a standard engine.

Thanks for your help =)

At least at the 125/150 models, a change of the gearing isn't such a big thing. And it is much cheaper than another exhaust (about 100 Euros).
