Hallo,
Mein deutsch ist sehr schlecht, dafur hab ich an englisch dieses post schreibt.
I have a Leonardo 150.
I went to service, because i had problems with regulator(electricity), it wasn't filling up my battery. Also had oil draining from some tube near carburator.
They have repaired regulator, this tube, and also replaced spark-plug.
I picked my loenardo form the shop, and after 10 kilometers it stalled. Stoped working. 10 km???
Today people from the service told me that chain on the camshaft had skiped/jumped over, and that valves had been broken...
So my valves are broken and they have told me, that it isn't their fault, it is common problem on Leonardo.
Is this true?
Is there something they did that caused this malfunction?
i'm desperate, please help.

Re: Leonardo 150 camshaft chain
Hello,
it's a quite common problem that some Leo engines die by sticking valves. You cannot claim that this is a general problem - some Leo engines last more than 60.000 km, some others die at less than 10.000 km.
I think the problem at your Leo was not the jumped-over chain, but a sticked valve. The damages of the engine mostly are serious - valves, piston, cylinder and cylinder head are damaged. Because Leo spare parts are very expensive, the only economic chance is repairing the Leo with used parts - you can get them in our "second hand" section (=> Gebrauchtmarkt) in our bulletin board if you're lucky.
Or you try at Ebay.
See you,
Christian

Re: Leonardo 150 camshaft chain
Hello,
if one valve stays in the open position (if it sticks in its valve guide) and the piston comes up, the piston crashes against the valve. Due to this, almost the wohl enginge is damaged: valve, piston, con rod (which means you habe to replace the whole crankshaft), cylinder and cylinder head.
